Heidelberger Schloss

Guten Abend Alle! Heat war ein recht Tag! Just checking your German.

Today, we went via train to Heidelberg with the entire group. We met at the main train station around 9:10. The train ride took one hour. We took a bus to the Cog Railway and rode two minutes to the castle. The students received a headphone and walked around the grounds and listened to the tour. They also had a crossword puzzle to complete. The German partners gave the answers and the American kids wrote the words into the crossword puzzle. At 1pm, we headed down the steep hill into town. The kids had two hours to roam the streets, eat lunch, shop, etc. Our train left at 3:25 pm and an hour later we were back in Darmstadt. The weather was ideal-about 65 degrees and overcast.

Tomorrow, we are off to Frankfurt. However, I won't post until Saturday. We won't be home until 6 pm and I am attending the graduation at 7 pm for this years group. Most of the kids fro the exchange 2 years ago are graduating.

Pictures from our day are below.
